Maria (working for a automotive supplier)
Picture
Maria's employer manufactures, among others, windscreen wiper blades. Workers lift wiper blade assemblies from a conveyor and walk 1.5 metres where they raise the arms to about shoulder level to hang the parts on a rack.
  • Loads per hand: 5–8 kg
  • Lifting frequency: 1–2 lifts per minute
  • NIOSH Lifting Index: 2.5

Supporting Robo-Mate modules

The active trunk could also be used to support bending, if part of some elements of the job.
